Grant Application
Grants will be prioritized for New Orleans area nonprofits that serve low-income or under resourced populations with a focus on hunger relief and/or education access and equity. Grants will be awarded for a 12-month funding period for up to $40,000.
The 2026 grant applications will open Friday. May 1st.

Grant Types
Seed Money
Up to $10,000 for new or pilot programs.
Operating support
Up to $10,000 for general operations
Capacity building
Up to $20,000 for organizational development, staff training, or infrastructure
Criteria
Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Serve communities in Orleans parish.
Align with the Foundation’s focus areas - hunger relief and/or education access and equity - or be a New Orleans-based organization that supports one or both of the above focus areas through community programs, advocacy, or direct service.
Funding Priorities
Serve low-income or under-resourced populations.
Demonstrate cultural competence and community trust.
Have a track record of measurable outcomes.
Embrace collaboration and community-informed approaches.
Grant Period
12-month funding period.
Grantees must submit a mid-year update and a final report.
Renewals considered based on performance and mission alignment.
What We Do Not Fund
Individuals (e.g., scholarships or personal aid).
Political campaigns or lobbying.
Organizations that do not serve New Orleans or surrounding parishes.
Work unrelated to hunger relief or education equity.
